Same Lot As Last Time

SLALT members, their families & supporters took part regularly in the annual Long Eaton Carnival.

The themes chosen by SLALT owed a great deal to the imagination & creative talents of the people involved. It was great fun for those taking part and for the people watching.

Their full size model of the plane used by Bleriot for the first cross channel flight literally came in on a wing & a prayer! Probably, the most popular theme was as a fire crew of yester year complete with a fully working pump (shown above). It signalled the start of a friendly series of enthusiastic water fights outside Long Eaton Fire Station.
